Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Jersey City. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in New Jersey are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Jersey City is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Jersey City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New Jersey's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I love desserts, and the pictures of the tarts from this place looked really tempting, so I decided to give it a try. The shop is actually located inside Teazzi Tea Shop, but you can spot the pudding display in the window. The pistachio pudding was delicious—definitely the highlight and highly recommended. As for the tarts, they’re quite pricey for the size ($6.75 each or $10 for two), and I finished one in just a couple of bites. While they tasted good, they weren’t amazing, especially for the price. I would stick with the pudding next time.

Great little grab-and-go spot located inside Teazzi! They specialize in Asian-inspired treats, and I absolutely loved the pudding and the mini tarts. Everything is perfectly 'not too sweet,' just the way I like it. The portions are small, but they pack a lot of flavor—the pistachio in particular is a must-try. I will definitely be grabbing more of these next time I'm in the neighborhood.

I got the Black sesame cheesecake and it wasn't my favorite. The fluff on the top was tasty but I felt like there was something off about the taste of the cheesecake. It was also quite expensive for one piece 🧐

I scored the BEST Uji matcha tart and black sesame basque burnt cheesecake, tucked inside a boba spot in Jersey City! It was a sweet surprise to see Tart-Da inside Teazzi. Everything I tried was seriously not too sweet and I truly mean it. Perfect for anyone who loves low-sugar desserts with tea flavors. Highly recommend grabbing some desserts next time you’re on a boba run! *Black Sesame Basque Burnt Cheesecake 黑芝麻巴斯克蛋糕 $12.50 *** From the half-molten creamy center, you could already tell this basque burnt cheesecake nailed the texture. It was bursting with nutty black sesame flavor, and best of all, not overly sweet. Arguably the best black sesame basque burnt cheesecake I’ve had in a while. *Uji Matcha Tart 宇治抹茶撻 $8/2pc ** The Uui matcha made all the difference! Earthy and bitter in the best way, while the thin white chocolate balanced it out perfectly. Easily an 11/10. I’d go back just for this. *Black Sesame Tart 黑芝麻撻 $8/2pc While the black sesame flavor here wasn’t as intense as the cheesecake, I still loved the subtle sweetness. It was just like traditional canto black sesame dessert but with a french touch. I had to say, the shortbread crust of the tart was absolutely

such a gem for unique desserts! They specialize in Asian-inspired tarts and puddings, using flavors like oolong tea and green tea to create the perfect balance of sweetness. I tried the pistachio pudding and the chocolate moon tart both were absolutely delicious. It’s more of a grab-and-go spot, but since the waterfront is just a short walk away, it’s the perfect place to enjoy their treats with a nice view. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something different and flavorful in Jersey City!
